Milan Mody, MD

Milan Mody, MD Milan Mody, MD, received an honorary Bachelor of Arts degree from Central High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the second oldest magnet high school in the country. He then graduated summa cum laude from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science degree with double majors in economics and management and double minors in psychology and biology. He completed medical school at the world-renowned University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine before a five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He specialized in spine with a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgery spine fellowship at the University of Texas and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Mody received board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Mody has coauthored numerous scientific and technical publications for noted academic journals, as well as presented and lectured at regional, national and international conferences. He has taught his spinal surgery techniques to surgeons from Germany, Tasmania, Australia, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador, United Kingdom and Malaysia, either at WK Pierremont Health Center or at conferences.

In Houston Dr. Mody provided spine and sports care for the Houston Texans and Houston Rockets, as well as for the Rice University Owls. In Shreveport, Dr. Mody has provided spine care for the Shreveport Battlewings, Mudbugs hockey, Cavaliers football, as well as other local athletes and celebrities.

Dr. Mody is happily married with two children and two dogs. His hobbies include travel, water sports, photography, tech start-ups, cooking and film.
